Chico Sánchez blog
I'm a Spanish and English speaking photographer based in Mexico City. Born and raised in southern Spain, I moved to Latin America in 2001 when I began working with Reuters in Venezuela. Before I left Venezuela in 2007, I'd collaborated with the European Press Photoagency, Agencia EFE, and freelanced for various newspapers and magazines. Currently I focus on stock photography, producing audio-slide shows and freelancing. Mexican publisher AM Editores has designed two big, thick, coffee table style books featuring my travel pictures from across Mexico. Mexico Alma Natural that shows the desert of Baja California to El Triunfo Biosphere Reserve, the home of the mythical Quetzal bird, and Mexico Alma Esencial that shows culture, architecture, arqueology, traditios, among other travel subjets. In both books images run full page and are accompanied by poetic texts by Alejandra Uhthoff in English and Spanish.
